Rolls-Royce Cullinan Monaco — Starlight Headliner & Viewing Suite

May 2026 · 7 min read · FFGR Monaco Fleet Team

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the most expensive production SUV available and the first vehicle Rolls-Royce has produced with body-in-white construction derived from an aluminium space frame rather than a body-on-frame platform. Its 571 hp 6.75-litre V12 engine, self-levelling air suspension system, and rear Viewing Suite — a tailgate-mounted seating arrangement — make it unlike any other vehicle in the FFGR Monaco fleet. For clients arriving by helicopter or yacht who require the Rolls-Royce brand statement combined with SUV practicality, the Cullinan provides both without compromise.

571 hp 6.75-Litre V12 and Architecture

The Cullinan's 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine produces 571 hp and 850 Nm of torque, with power delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. The engine produces 600 Nm from 1,600 rpm, giving the 2,660 kg SUV what Rolls-Royce engineers describe as "waftability" — the ability to accelerate imperceptibly smoothly from low speed to cruising pace without apparent effort. The zero to 100 km/h time of 5.2 seconds is secondary to the sensation of the vehicle simply moving forward without resistance.

The architecture is Rolls-Royce's spaceframe aluminium structure, shared with the Phantom and Ghost, which provides significantly greater torsional rigidity than a conventional steel body would allow. This rigidity is the foundation for the Cullinan's ride quality: the body moves as a single unit rather than flexing, allowing the suspension to work against a stable platform. The result is that the Cullinan absorbs road imperfections in a manner that feels fundamentally different from any other SUV — the body simply remains still while the suspension works below it.

Starlight Headliner — 1,340 Fibre Optic Stars

The Rolls-Royce Starlight Headliner is a factory option that consists of 1,340 hand-woven fibre optic strands integrated into the headliner fabric over a process that takes approximately 17 hours per vehicle. Each strand terminates at a point in the headliner surface that corresponds to a specific position in the star map that the client selects — the night sky over Monaco on a specific date, for instance, or the night sky over a location of personal significance. The intensity of each point can be adjusted, and a shooting star animation can be programmed to traverse the headliner at timed intervals.

The FFGR Monaco Cullinan fleet vehicles are specified with the Starlight Headliner in a configuration that recreates the night sky visible from Monte-Carlo at the summer solstice — a specification chosen because it includes the constellation of Hercules, which names the Principality's port. For clients who commission a bespoke configuration for a specific occasion — a wedding anniversary date, a birth date — FFGR can arrange the Rolls-Royce Custom commissions process for vehicles ordered through our procurement programme.

The Viewing Suite

The Cullinan's Viewing Suite is an optional rear configuration in which the standard boot floor is replaced by two facing seats, each accommodating one occupant, that unfold when the tailgate is opened. The seats face outward from the vehicle, providing an elevated viewing position with a small fold-out table between them. The system includes a power tailgate that opens to the preconfigured angle and an optional champagne cooler unit in the boot floor between the seat mounts.

In Monaco, the Viewing Suite has an obvious application: the Cullinan can be positioned at a vantage point above the harbour — the terrace of the Jardins Saint-Martin, the Route de la Corniche above the circuit — and the seats deployed for a client wishing to observe the Formula 1 qualifying, a yacht parade, or a fireworks display. FFGR coordinates the positioning and timing for these bespoke arrangements and can combine the Viewing Suite deployment with a catered refreshment service through our concierge partnerships.

Bespoke Specification and Commission Options

The Cullinan is available in approximately 44,000 exterior colour combinations through Rolls-Royce's paint library and bespoke colour matching programme. The interior can be specified in any combination of the 45,000 leather swatches in the Rolls-Royce sample library, with contrast stitching, piping, and embroidery options that allow the cabin to be effectively unique. The wood veneers — available in 50 species — are bookmatched across the full dashboard and door panel surfaces.

FFGR clients who wish to commission a Cullinan through our procurement programme receive access to the Rolls-Royce Bespoke team at the Goodwood factory, including the Private Preview facility where completed vehicles are presented in a dedicated room before delivery. The commission-to-delivery timeline for a bespoke Cullinan is typically eight to twelve months. FFGR can provide a fleet vehicle matching the client's general specification preference for the duration of the commission period, ensuring continuity of service.
