UHNW families who summer in Monaco with children require a transport service that balances the adult demands of luxury travel with the practical realities of school-age passengers: appropriate child seats for smaller children, activity programmes that can be accommodated within a vehicle schedule, and a driver experienced in coordinating with the nanny or household manager as much as with the principal. FFGR Monaco's family service is not a modified adult service — it is a purpose-designed programme for households travelling with children aged two to sixteen.
Vehicle Configuration for Families
Families with children under 12 are accommodated in the Mercedes V-Class Exclusive for most Monaco family transfers — the vehicle's forward-facing third-row seating, ample luggage space for beach bags and equipment, and the absence of a centre console in the rear passenger zone make it the most practical family vehicle in the FFGR Monaco fleet. Child seats from infant (6–13kg) through toddler (9–18kg) to booster (15–36kg) are maintained in FFGR inventory at no additional charge.
For families with teenagers who require separate vehicle space from younger siblings, we operate a two-vehicle family programme: the principal vehicle for adults and older children, a second vehicle (typically a Range Rover) for the younger children and their caregiver. Both vehicles travel in convoy with radio communication between drivers.
Aquasplash and Water Park Transfers
Aqualand Antibes — the primary water park serving the Côte d'Azur region — is located in Antibes Juan-les-Pins, approximately 40 minutes from Monaco along the A8. The park is popular with Monaco-based families throughout July and August, and FFGR operates a standing daily Aqualand transfer for families who want a water park day without the complexity of self-driving and parking in a busy resort town.
The transfer programme includes drop-off at the main Aqualand entrance at 09:30, a midday return for children who need a rest, and an evening collection at 18:00. For families who want to stay for the full day, the driver holds at the Antibes old town area and can be called at any time. A sunscreen and snack kit is provided in the family vehicle on Aqualand days.
Day Excursions for Mixed-Age Groups
Family excursions from Monaco during school holidays need to balance adult cultural interest with child engagement. Our most consistently successful family day programmes are: the Sanremo market and beach morning (children enjoy the flower market and Alassio beach); the Cinque Terre train programme (teenagers in particular find the village-to-village train travel genuinely engaging); and the Monaco Ocean Museum combined with the Prince's Palace tour (appropriate for children 8 and above).
The Musée Océanographique de Monaco, perched on the cliff of the Rock above the sea, is one of the finest natural history museums in Europe for children, with a working aquarium and shark lagoon that maintains attention across age groups. FFGR coordinates museum timed entry with vehicle drop-off on the Rock and collection after the visit.
Safety Standards and Driver Briefing
All FFGR Monaco drivers operating on family programmes receive a specific child transport briefing covering child seat installation verification, door-lock protocol for moving vehicles, and the coordination procedure for hand-off between the driver and the accompanying caregiver at each stop. We never transfer a child without a confirmed hand-off — the driver does not leave until the child is in the care of the designated adult.
For families where children travel without a parent (for example, to and from a sports clinic or activity session), we operate a guardian coordination protocol: the driver confirms the identity of both the drop-off adult and the collection adult before completing the transfer. A confirmation message is sent to the household manager at each stage.
