The charter client's experience begins long before they step aboard. A disorganised airport transfer, a delayed luggage delivery or an unexplained wait at the marina gate can colour their first impressions of even the most magnificent charter yacht. FFGR Monaco works with charter brokers, yacht management companies and captains to deliver a ground service that sets the tone for the entire charter. From Nice Airport arrivals to seamless marina boarding and luggage handling, every land-side element is coordinated to the captain's briefing schedule.
Pre-Arrival Coordination with Charter Brokers
The successful charter client transfer begins weeks before the embarkation date. FFGR Monaco integrates with the charter broker's guest information form process, receiving flight details, arrival times, luggage expectations and any special requirements — child seats, accessibility needs, dietary preferences for the welcome vehicle refreshments — well in advance. This information is compiled into a detailed transfer brief shared with the assigned driver.
We maintain direct communication channels with the primary charter brokers active in the Monaco-Côte d'Azur corridor: Burgess, Fraser, EYOS Expeditions, Camper & Nicholsons and Northrop & Johnson, among others. Standardised transfer documentation and a single WhatsApp briefing protocol minimise the coordination overhead for broker operations teams.
Nice Airport: Charter Client Arrival Sequence
For commercial flight arrivals, our driver monitors the actual arrival time via flight tracking and adjusts the airport arrival accordingly — never waiting in the car park for 45 minutes while a flight is delayed, but equally never absent when the client emerges from customs. The meet-and-greet point is confirmed in advance: the arrivals hall Name Board zone for standard arrivals or the private VIP area for clients using the premium terminal facilities.
For private jet arrivals at Nice's FBO area, our driver accesses the tarmac-side or FBO lounge as appropriate, ensuring the transition from aircraft steps to vehicle is direct and unhurried. Luggage is collected from the aircraft hold by our ground assistant and loaded while the client completes any formalities inside the FBO lounge — passport control, customs declaration — without any involvement in baggage handling.
Marina Access & Boarding Protocols
Each marina on the Côte d'Azur has its own vehicle access protocol: Port Hercule Monaco, Port Vauban Antibes, Port Pierre Canto Cannes and Port Gallice Juan-les-Pins all apply different visitor vehicle rules, security checks and pedestrian access arrangements. FFGR Monaco holds the necessary credentials for each principal marina and has pre-established relationships with the security staff that facilitate rapid, dignified access.
The luggage transfer from vehicle to vessel is managed by our ground assistant working in coordination with the chief steward's reception team aboard. We deliver luggage to the gangway head and the crew handles the onboard distribution — respecting the captain's boarding sequence and avoiding any awkward overlap between the client's arrival and the crew's ongoing preparation.
Multi-Guest Arrival Coordination
Charter parties typically arrive on multiple flights, often from different origin cities and at varying times throughout the same day. FFGR Monaco manages the full arrival sequence as a choreographed programme: each flight is tracked individually, each vehicle dispatched at the optimal time and a coordinating operations contact remains active throughout the day to manage delays, missed connections and late additions to the guest list.
When guests are arriving over a six-hour window — as is common for international charter parties — we provide a staging option at a selected hotel near the airport or the marina, so that early arrivals are not left waiting in the vehicle while late flights complete their approach. The staging hotel coordination is managed by our team at no additional complexity to the charter broker or captain.
Disembarkation & Departure Service
The end of a charter is as important as the beginning. FFGR Monaco provides departure transfers with the same precision as arrivals: vehicles confirmed the night before, luggage loaded in sequence to avoid delays at the marina gate, and arrival at Nice Airport timed to allow a comfortable check-in or FBO departure without unnecessary rushing.
For clients departing by private jet, we coordinate with the FBO to confirm the aircraft's readiness and tarmac position before departing the marina. The charter client's final impression of their Mediterranean experience is a direct, unhurried transfer to an aircraft already prepared for departure — a fitting conclusion to a week that began with the same standard of precision.
