Courchevel to Monaco — Private Chauffeur Winter Transfer Guide

May 12, 2026 · 6 min read · FFGR Monaco Alps Team

The Courchevel–Monaco corridor is one of the most significant winter luxury routes in Europe. From December to March, a significant portion of Monaco's UHNWI resident community divides their time between the Principality and the Trois Vallées. FFGR Monaco operates dedicated winter transfer services between Monaco and the Savoie ski resorts.

The Monaco–Courchevel Route — Distance and Options

Monaco to Courchevel 1850 is 310 kilometres by road — approximately three hours in a Maybach or Rolls-Royce Cullinan with a driver who has made the journey before. The standard route via the A8 and A43 is the most reliable, with the final ascent from Moutiers taking 30 minutes in clear conditions. For clients who value time over comfort, the Monaco Heliport to Courchevel's dedicated helipad takes 55 minutes by private helicopter — and we coordinate that transfer as a single end-to-end operation.

Our winter fleet for Alps transfers is configured specifically: Rolls-Royce Cullinan with four-wheel drive and winter tyres from November 1, Mercedes-Maybach GLS for luggage-heavy movements, and Range Rover SV for clients who prefer SUV discretion. All Alps vehicles carry ski boot bags, waterproof seat covers and emergency cold weather kit as standard.

Courchevel 1850 — Village-to-Chalet Logistics

Courchevel 1850's private chalet addresses require local knowledge. Many of the most significant chalets sit on access roads that become weight-restricted during snowfall periods, or require 4WD for the final approach. FFGR Monaco maintains a working relationship with a permanent Courchevel ground partner who manages local positioning, slope-side collection, and village logistics when our Monaco-based vehicles are already en route.

For après-ski and evening restaurant transfers within Courchevel — from Le Chabichou or La Saulire to private chalets at Bellecôte or Le Praz — our Courchevel ground partner maintains vehicles in the village throughout the season.

Return Timing and Monaco Pre-Season Planning

The Courchevel–Monaco return is most efficiently managed as an early-morning movement. Departure from Courchevel at 06:30 delivers clients to Monaco before 10:00, in time for morning commitments. Alternatively, the helicopter option allows a post-lunch Courchevel departure with Monaco arrival by 15:00.

For clients who divide their winter between Monaco and multiple ski destinations — Zermatt, Verbier, Megève, Val d'Isère — we arrange a seasonal ground transport programme that covers all movements from a single brief and single point of contact.
